During lock down, I decided to experiment with new products and tried to make my first foaming facial cleanser. Unlike other cleansers that we have presented here, here and here, this one has a light texture as it does not contain any oils or butters and is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive. It cleanses, it removes makeup and impurities without dehydrating the skin while rejuvenates and soothes your face.
I used calendula and tylium herb waters because they have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action and euphrasia flower water because is primarily used for eye disorders and infections. I also added silk protein, panthenol, vegetable glycerin for nourishment and hydration and black truffle extract because it activates the formation of collagen fibres while reducing skin stains whether from the sun or age.
Opora Rays Foaming Facial Cleanser
recipe for 100 g | 3.54 oz
30 g | 1.06 oz calendula floral water
28 g | 0.99 oz tylium herb water
21 g | 0.74 oz euphrasia floral water
10 g | 0.35 oz vegetable glycerin
6 g | 0.21 oz coco glucoside
2 g | 0.07 oz black truffle extract
1 g | 0.04 oz silk protein
1 g | 0.04 oz d-panthenol
1 g | 0.04 oz broad spectrum preservative
Sterilize tools, equipment, work surface and wear your gloves. Weigh ingredients.
Mix all the ingredients in a beaker, except coco glucoside.
Add the coco glucoside into the beaker and blend very gently.
Transfer the cleanser into a foam bottle.
- Coco glucoside is a non-ionic surfactant that is mainly used to increase the foam production capacity and can also act as an emulsifier. It is derived from coconut oil and fruit sugars, while enhancing the moisturizing properties of the final product.
Place
the product on clean hands and apply on wet skin (face, eyes) with
circular light massage movements. Rinse off with plenty of water.
