diy Coco Choco body mask

I was looking yesterday the article on the recipe for chocolate face mask and found out that we have a long time to make a body mask. You're gonna ask me now, is it possible to make a mask for the whole body? Of course, if you have someone to apply it to you, would be ideal 😂

Body masks have no difference from facial masks. They usually have the same composition and we just make sure we make a larger quantity.
Today's recipe has no preservative as the product is intended for immediate consumption. Therefore, if you make this mask, you will apply it mimedately and will not be stored because it consists of coconut milk and water that last only 3 days after open their packaging.
Before making the mask, let’s remember first how to sterilize clays and herbal powders.

how to sterilise clays or powders before using them in your cosmetics

To sterilize your powders or clays and make sure that the material you use in your cosmetics is safe for your skin, you'll need:
  • clay or powder of your choice
  • sterilised baking tray

Pour the clay or powder into the baking tray (after you have sterilized it) and spread the material all over the surface of the tray. Place the tray in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius and bake for 1.5 hours. Remove the tray from the oven and allow the clay or the powder to cool down. Put it in a sterilised container. Ensure that the clay or the powder is completely cool before closing the container.
Coco Choco Body Mask with Rhassoul clay & coconut milk
recipe for 100 g | 3.5 oz

30 g | 1.06 oz coconut milk BIO
15 g | 0.53 oz coconut water BIO
10 g | 0.35 oz vegetable glycerin
6 g | 0.21 oz aloe vera gel
30 g | 1.06 oz Rhassoul clay
6 g | 0.21 oz cocoa powder
3 g | 0.11 oz oat silk powder
  • Before you start making the mask, sterilise tools, containers, work surface and wear gloves.
  • Pour all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix until you get a homogenised mixture. If the mask is thick then you will add more water. In the photos you see below, I had only used coconut milk in and that’s why the mask looks thick. When I tried the recipe again, I added the coconut water and the mask was more liquid.
  • Apply the mask immediately. As mentioned above, this mask does not contain any preservative.
  • I didn't add any fragrance or essential oil because the mask already has a strong essence from coconut.

After having a nice peeling with the Coco Choco scrub we made here, we apply the mask to our body and wrap it with a cling film. We lie down and relax for about an hour. We can also cover ourselves with a blanket. We rinse of the product and we enjoy our silky skin.
Coconut water is rich in vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants and contributes directly to skin cleansing. The glucose it contains is important for the renewal of the skin cells. On the other hand, coconut milk is rich in vitamin C and restores moisture to the skin, keeping it supple and flexible.
Vegetable glycerin and aloe vera gel are softening agents while Rhassoul clay is considered the most strong clay to detoxify the skin. It reduces dryness as well as graininess of the skin and removes dead cells.

Cocoa is a powerful antioxidant as it is rich in polyphenols, catechins and flavonols, cleanses the skin and leaves it soft and silky.

Oat silk powder is perfectly natural and contains avenanthramides and beta-glucan, substances known for their anti-inflammatory and soothing action. Gives instant shine and luxurious silky feel to the skin.
